History of the WWE Championship
Shortly after joining Bullet Club as the 6th member of the Bullet Club Gold group, Johnny Gargano managed to pull strings to get into the WWE Championship match at Survivor Series Season 7. With the help of his wife Candice LeRae, Johnny would take a chair to Austin Theory then Package Piledrive Jon Moxley to win his 2nd WWE Championship.
Crowning himself as "The Now" and the future of WWE, Austin Theory looked to take down the old guard of John Cena, and after months of adversity at SummerSlam 2025, Austin Theory became the new WWE Champion by making John Cena say the words "I Give Up" in the main event of the show to end Cena's legendary 18th world title run.
The Greatest of All Time captured a record setting 18th world championship at Breaking Point Season 7 when he ambushed former champion Seth Rollins before the bell could ring. Cena laid Rollins out with several Attitude Adjustments before finally hitting his dreaded Five Moves Of Doom to crown himself as "The Unseen 18"
